In 2017, we began providing annual grants for caregivers coping with the stress and uncertainty of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s.
Jog Your Memory was formed in 2014 with the purpose of funding research to eradicate Alzheimer’s disease. While we remain committed to that mission, we know that every day there are caregivers and families in our community suffering from the emotional and financial devastation brought on by the disease. That is why we created the Dick Caley Caregiver Fund. Depending on where you are in the process of figuring out care for your loved one, you will receive funds to help best meet your current family needs.
In 2022, we renamed the JYM Caregiver Fund to the Dick Caley Caregiver Fund in memory of Jess’ Dad and founding board member, Dick Caley, who passed away unexpectedly. Dick is the reason we wanted to start this fund and have supported over 100 families in need since its inception. As the ultimate caregiver, Dick saw his beloved wife, Carol, every day for over 7 years as she resided in her new home, a residential care center. His dedication to her and our cause will continue to inspire us to persist in the support of families who have been affected by this terrible disease.

DAVID ➔
Jog Your Memory provided our family with a critical grant that allowed us the services of an Eldercare Counselor when we needed it most. My father had initially ended up in the wrong facility and we were in a dire situation trying to urgently find a new facility that would better suit his needs.
Not knowing who to turn to, we reached out to Jog Your Memory who generously sprung into action a with a grant that afforded us access to a compassionate and highly knowledgeable counselor who helped quickly find a new facility better suited for my father. Jog Your Memory's generosity and commitment to helping families struggling with Alzheimer's provided us with critical support at our greatest time of need. We are truly grateful.

ANITA + SANDY ➔
This past year we were extremely fortunate to have received a very generous grant form ‘Jog Your Memory,’ which, along with financial assistance for a home caregiver to provide assistance for a few hours on the weekends, also included a visit from a social worker who provided us invaluable advice.
My wife, Sandy, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2012, and things have progressively gotten worse over time. Fortunately she’s still home, and attends an adult daycare program five days a week. Jog Your Memory was the catalyst that motivated me to get some weekend relief, which I’m forever grateful — thank you!

JEFF + BOBBIE ➔
Bobbie reignited her husband Jeff's love for music, and has been able to continue to do so with the help of a grant given by JYM. Jeff is working with musician Jesse, and they have weekly sessions, both practicing in their home, and at organized performances in front of an audience. We are thrilled to help keep Jeff's musical talents going.
